Tired of morning sickness?
Pregnancy is a time to feel yummy and to show off your blooming baby bump, but unfortunately, it is estimated that up to 90% of you suffer to some degree from morning sickness. Of course we recommend that you speak to your doctor about it, but in the meantime, here are some age old hints and tips to make it that little bit easier.
Remember when you were poorly when you were younger any your mother used to feed you ginger snaps? There was logic in the madness – ginger helps an upset stomach. Why not try adding ginger to your tea or perhaps leaving a few ginger biscuits on your bedside table. These fab ‘preggie pops’ also come with a ginger flavours and help calm a queasy stomach.
It has been suggested that the sensation of nausea is heightened when the woman is around certain foods or smells, so why not try opening some windows for some fresh air, or perhaps leaving some fresh lemon in each room to mask odours and add its own fresh citrusy scent.
In order to keep your water levels up, drink small amounts of water regularly. It could also help by eating fruit and vegetables with high water content. Now you’ve got no reason not to indulge in some delicious strawberries and grapes!
