Ok, so this may come a week too late for those up North, but with our first, and heavy spattering of snow for us Londoners, we thought we’d offer our two cents on cosy yet fashionable, maternity winter warmers!

  1. We absolutely love French Connections new maternity range which is available exclusively through ASOS so you won’t have to trudge out in the snow to get it.  With three gorgeous coats to choose from, it was hard to make a decision. After much squabbling in the office, we finally decided upon their navy blue military style coat featuring a double breasted buttoned bib.  Not only is the design chic yet elegant, its high wool content is going to keep you nice and snug this winter.  £160 may seem steep, but its perfect post pregnancy too.
  2. This padded jacket (see link) by Mamalicious is definitely the cosiest maternity coat we’ve found so far. The belted detail just below your bust is perfect for a growing bump and allows for gentle expansion.  At just £60 you better snap it up quick as its sure to be high up on those Christmas lists!
  3. ASOS have their own maternity range and we think this gorgeous double breasted coat is just fab.  Its elegant yet classic design surpasses seasonal trends and proves that there’s no need to compromise on style whether during or after your pregnancy. You won’t believe us when we tell you its only £85.

4. Ok, this ones a bit pricey, but we couldn’t not put it in.  Isabella Oliver’s cashmere trench that will remain chic year in, year out. Though at £239 you may just have to put it on your Christmas list.

5. Lastly, we chose a duffel coat, its fun, informal, and perfect for those wintry walks.  We searched far and wide and ended up with this little number. Designed by Dorothy Perkins, you can easily nip to the shops or get it online, and again as its just £60 don’t wait too long or it might just get snapped up!

With the earliest snow Britain’s seen in 17 years, you’ll get your moneys worth for whatever coat you finally decide upon.  Hopefully this gave you a little helping hand when searching for the perfect coat to keep you and your little bump warm this winter, but if you’ve found any other brilliant deals then comment this blog, we’d absolutely love to hear about them!
